Presenting Organizations include:
The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) is part of the National Weather Service (NWS) and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction. SPC’s mission is to provide timely and accurate forecasts and watches for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over the contiguous United States. SPC also monitors for hazardous winter weather and fire weather events and issues specific products for those hazards.
The Oklahoma Climatological Survey (OCS) was created by the University of Oklahoma in 1980 to provide climate services to the people of Oklahoma. The Survey maintains an extensive array of climatological information, operates the 120-station Oklahoma Mesonet weather monitoring system, and hosts a wide variety of educational outreach and scientific research projects.
The Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP) assists organizations with decision making that builds resilience by collaboratively producing research, tools, and knowledge that reduce weather and climate risks and impacts across the South-Central United States.
